Brothers Adam and Tim Harris Weigh-in 24 Pounds on Neuse River

In our final regular season event of the season, we had 66 teams compete this past Sunday in New Bern on the Neuse River. Anglers were met with hot and humid fishing conditions Sunday and most anglers found the bite very difficult.

However, 1 team found a way to catch them as Adam Harris and Tim Harris brought over 24 pounds of bass to the Bass Challenge scales and took 1st place honors on the Neuse River. Launching out of Lawsons Creek in New Bern, Adam and Tim won our 1st-place prize of $2,000!

After the tournament we asked Adam Harris about their day on the water:  “We decided to run up the Neuse River, riding for an hour and 15 minutes before we decided to fish. Once we got there it was apparent that we made the right decision. We threw buzz baits and crank baits all day long. We caught some quality bass but lost some as well. It is one of the best days that my brother and I have had on the Neuse River.“

Sunday the Bass Challenge paid cash prizes to our top 10 teams. It took 10.55  pounds to finish inside the Bass Challenge money line.
