Beginning in 2025, the NC Bass Challenge is proud to be affiliated with BASS and the Bassmaster Team Championship. Being able to send our top anglers to this National Championship Tournament was highly requested by our anglers during the off-season.
The NC Bass Challenge is allowed to send one team to the Bassmaster Team Championship for every 25 teams that register with us this season. The top teams are determined by our Super 6 Points Championship Standings.
This means if 175 teams compete with us in 2025, we will send our top 7 teams to the Bassmaster Team Championship which takes place in December.
The 2025 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Team Championship will be held on Lake Hartwell on December 3-6, 2025. The winner of this event will earn a spot in the 2026 Bassmaster Classic!
You can earn eligibility to compete in this event by being one of our top teams in the Super 6 Points Championship. We will send 1 team for every 25 teams that compete with us in 2025.
If you obtain eligibility to compete in this event, you will compete in a 4 day tournament that could earn you the opportunity to fish in the nations biggest bass tournament, the Bassmaster Classic.
The team portion of the event will be held Dec. 3-4, with the winning duo not only claiming a cash prize, but also leading the charge into the Bassmaster Classic Fish-Off section of the event, which will take place Dec. 5-6.
The Top 3 teams through Day 2 — six anglers in all — will have their weights zeroed and then compete individually in the Fish-Off. The competitor with the heaviest two-day total of the group will earn the final spot in the 2026 Bassmaster Classic.
Never before has the NC Bass Challenge been able to provided our anglers with an opportunity like this. It’s an exciting opportunity and gives Bass Challenge anglers something to shoot for all season long.
Bassmaster will announce rules, entry fees, and official practice days later in 2025. The NC Bass Challenge will pay the entry fee for the top finishing team in our Super 6 Standings. All other teams will be required to pay their entry fee. In previous years, the entry fee for this event is $400. Entry fees for 2025 have not been announced yet.
