Meet Our Team

Jeffrey Davis

Jeffrey started tournament bass fishing in 2013 as a member of the Pitt County Bassmasters in Greenville, NC. From that time competitive bass fishing has encompassed his life. Jeffrey now fishes regional and national events all over the country. Primarily focusing on MLF tournaments, Jeffrey fishes BFL’s, Toyota Series Events, and multiple local team trails in North Carolina. Jeffrey also guides on Kerr Lake and Falls Lake.

Jeffrey owns and operates the NC Bass Challenge. He acts as the tournament director and handles all administrative duties. Being an avid tournament angler, he has a vast amount of experience at participating in tournaments and hosting tournaments. He’s used that experience to streamline events for the Bass Challenge and create an angler experience that is second to none in the state.

Rebeccah Davis

Jeffrey’s wife, Rebeccah began helping with the NC Bass Challenge in 2019. She plays an integral part in keeping everything organized and running efficiently. From live well checks to weigh-in assistance, she does it all.

Deborah Barber

Deborah Barber, mother of Tournament Director Jeffrey Davis, is affectionately known as the “Tournament Trail Mom” of NC Bass Challenge. Always present with a helping hand and a watchful eye, she brings a supportive spirit to every event. Deborah is never shy about offering thoughtful opinions and guidance, and she’s always willing to step in wherever she’s needed. Her dedication, care, and behind-the-scenes contributions help keep the tournament trail running smoothly and feeling like family.

Jennifer Davis

Jennifer is the person behind every tournament picture we take. She helps document your catch and preserves a memory that’ll last a lifetime. All of her pictures go on our Facebook, Instagram, and website.

Carter Davis

Carter does it all. He helps perform live-well checks, checks in anglers at the end of the tournament, and helps setup the tournament for weigh-in. 

Zoe Zabawski

Zoe is the official trophy presenter for the Eastern NC Bass Challenge. She awards the trophies to the winners of each tournament. Sometimes she also helps with live-well checks and checking in anglers after their day on the water. Zoe also loves bass fishing and recently caught her biggest bass ever, a 3.5 pound largemouth bass she caught on Falls Lake, NC.

Roger Thomas

Weigh-in Assistance

Roger is the guy on the sink. He helps us weigh-in your catch and keeps weigh-in moving fast and efficiently.

Michael Carter

Michael Carter serves as the Check-In Coordinator for the NC Bass Challenge and is a familiar face at the boat ramp at every tournament. Responsible for ensuring a smooth and organized check-in process, he helps anglers get started on time and keeps things running efficiently. Michael also plays a key role behind the scenes, assisting with the setup and breakdown of each event. His reliability and willingness to help wherever needed make him an essential part of the tournament team.
