Today the Neuse Sport Shop Eastern NC Bass Challenge is proud to announce the schedule for our 2025 tournament season.

Earlier this year we conducted a survey and asked anglers for their favorite fisheries in central and eastern North Carolina. Our schedule is highly reflective of the results from that survey. We do our best to give our anglers what they want and the 2025 schedule should give all anglers something to look forward to.

Our 2025 schedule is a mix of rivers and lakes as 5 of our events are scheduled on eastern NC rivers that we traditionally fish. 2 of our events are set to take place on two of the most popular lakes in North Carolina. Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston are very attractive destinations for our anglers and we’re excited to bring our tournament series to both of these locations in 2025. In creating the schedule we also wanted to visit the best fisheries during the best times of the year. For example, we scheduled 3 tournaments in April and May to maximize the time in which a large population of the bass has moved shallow for spawning.

Collins Boats $10,000 Championship

A lot of thought went into our 2-Day Championship tournament. In 2024 we rewarded our anglers more than ever with a $6,000 1st place prize at our Championship. We wanted to continue to incentivize our anglers by offering even more in 2025.

Thanks to a new partnership with Collins Boats in Smithfield, NC, we will be offering a $10,000 1st-place prize at our 2-Day Championship which will take place August 2-3, 2025 on the Roanoke River. Collins Boating is the premiere bass boat dealer in central and eastern North Carolina offering sales and service for Ranger, Triton, and Nitro bass boats.

NC Bassmaster High School & Junior Series

In 2025 the Bass Challenge will partner with the North Carolina Bassmaster High School & Junior Series to help host and coordinate tournaments for the youth anglers in eastern North Carolina. The youth anglers will join us for 4 events in 2025. Anglers may visit nchighschoolfishing.com for more information. Additional details will be released soon.

Saturday vs Sunday Tournaments

The Bass Challenge has traditionally held our events on Sundays. This helped us avoid scheduling conflicts in our early years. As we’ve grown in participation and angler support, the calls to host all of our events on Saturdays have grown tremendously. Again, based on the feedback we received on our 2025 Angler Survey we’ve decided to have our events on Saturdays in 2025. Our 2-Day Championship will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
