NCBASSCHALLENGE.COM

The Eastern North Carolina Bass Challenge is proud to announce a partnership with the North Carolina Bassmaster High School & Junior Series. High School and Youth Tournament fishing has exploded over the past several years and we have long wanted to find a way to help the youth anglers of eastern North Carolina compete in our bass fishing events. This partnership will help us offer an avenue for young anglers to experience tournament bass fishing.

How Will It Work?

Our high school and junior anglers will operate under similar rules as the adult anglers competing in the Eastern NC Bass Challenge. Youth anglers will be blasted off after our adult anglers and will weigh in with the second flight at our events. They will only be competing with other youth anglers and they will have their own entry fees and tournament payouts. These payouts and awards will be presented at the conclusion of our weigh-in.

Youth Tournament Schedule

Our high school and junior anglers will join us at the following events in 2025:

March 15, 2025 – Chowan River ***
April 5, 2025 – Kerr Lake ***
April 19, 2025 – Roanoke River ***
June 7, 2025 – Perquimans River ***

How To Help Your Child Get Involved

Being involved with the NC Bassmaster High School and Junior Series is a great opportunity for your child to learn to fish, create friendships, and build a foundation for competing at the college and professional levels. Youth teams consist of two anglers and an adult boat captain. Teams can participate in tournaments across North Carolina to win single-event awards and earn points to qualify for the National Championship.  Teams who participate in enough events can qualify for the State Championship tournament and earn the right to compete in the BASS Nation National Championship!
