Justin and Tony Coley Get The Win in Washington

It was cold and windy most of the day in Washington as 64 teams competed in our first event of 2022. Weather conditions were less than ideal as hard westerly winds created low water conditions.

The Bass Challenge is guaranteeing a $2,000 1st place prize for every tournament this year. Father and son combo Justin and Tony Coley walked away the winners of this event and took home the $2,000 1st place prize. Justin and Tony weighed in a 5 fish limit for 16.96 lbs and their bag was anchored by a big fish of 4.96 lbs. The team now has multiple wins with the Bass Challenge as they also won last year on the Neuse River.

2nd Place – Brad Stain and Paul King

Finishing in 2nd place in this event were Brad Stain and Paul King. The team had a strong day and weighed in 14.90 lbs. The team had a solid bag of fish that included a 4.6 lb big fish. Brad and Paul were rewarded with $1,250 in winnings.

3rd Place – Dean Thompson and Steve Vann

Finished in 3rd place was the team of Dean Thompson and Steve Vann. Dean and Steve brought 14.84 lbs to the Bass Challenge scales and just narrowly missed 2nd place. They had a great bag of fish that included a 4.0 lb big fish. They took home $750 in winnings.

Greenville Toyota Big Fish Prize

The catch of the day was made by Jody Wynn. Jody weighed in the tournament big fish which weighed 5.96 lbs. He was awarded a $400 cash prize. He also jumped out to the early lead in our $1000 Stoney Creek Outfitters 2022 Big Fish Prize.
