Weighing in a mega bag of bass this past Sunday on the Chowan River, Bubba Barnett and Jeremy Miller get their 3rd win of 2021! 68 teams visited Pembroke Creek on the Chowan River this past weekend as the Eastern NC Bass Challenge held our last regular-season event of 2021. Bubba Barnett and Jeremy Miller continued their hot streak by weighing in 25.06 pounds!
Barnett and Miller brought a 5 fish limit to the Bass Challenge scales that included the Greenville Toyota Big Fish of 8.28 lbs! Their bag also included multiple fish in the 4-5lb range. Their tournament big fish also put them in the lead for the Stoney Creek Outdoors 2021 Big Bass $1,000 Prize.
With their win, the team took home $2,200 in total prize money plus 2 commemorative trophies!
Mike May and Dale Winston brought a giant bag of bass to the Bass Challenge scales early in the tournament weigh-in. Weighing in at 22.26lbs, the team took 2nd place honors on the Chowan River. Their bag of bass was full of 4-5lb class fish. Their big fish weighed in at 5.8 pounds. Mike and Dale took home $1,250 in cash winnings for their great day on the water!
The team of Kevin Bass, Jr. and Dylan Parker brought 19.72 pounds to the Bass Challenge scales and took 3rd place honors on the Chowan River this past Sunday. Their bag was anchored by a big fish that weighed 7.00 lbs!
The Chowan/Albermarle didn’t disappoint as many teams brought big fish to the scales. The Roanoke River has been producing great fish all year and many anglers found the run across the sound well worth the ride. The Bass Challenge paid out cash winnings to the top 12 teams this past weekend. It took 15.70 lbs to be inside the moneyline.
