Hauser and Swain weigh-in 22 lbs and win big on Roanoke River

For the 3rd time this year, the Eastern NC Bass Challenge held a tournament in which more than 90 boats participated. 93 teams competed with us this past Sunday on the Roanoke River in Plymouth, NC where our top prize was $2,700! Strong northeast winds made fishing difficult for some anglers Sunday. However, after the weigh-in, it was Brad Hauser and David Swain who took home the win after they weighed in 22.70 pounds and claimed 1st Place honors!

Their bag was anchored by a 7.25-pound bass that helped them edge out the win over Kevin Ross and Michael Williams who weighed 21.29 pounds. After the weigh-in Sunday Brad was asked about their day on the water. Brad stated, “We decided to leave the Roanoke although the conditions obviously weren’t the best. We hit a couple of creeks using spinnerbaits and worms. We were fortunate to have a few big bites.”

Brad and David won our top-place prize which was $2,700! But the icing on the cake is their Ranger Cup contingency prize which is an extra $8,000 in winnings! That makes their total winnings Sunday $10,700!

Sunday the Bass Challenge paid cash prizes to our top 16 teams. It took 14.39  pounds to finish inside the Bass Challenge money line.
