Daniel Boseman and Jordan Hughes take 1st Place On Kerr Lake

97 teams blasted off Sunday morning on Kerr Lake at the Flemingtown Boat Landing in Henderson, NC. This is the first time the Eastern NC Bass Challenge has visited Kerr Lake and the lake really produced great numbers of fish as 75 teams weighed in a 5 bass limit.

However, no limit was bigger than the one Daniel Boseman and Jordan Hughes weighed in on Sunday. They brought 16.75 pounds to the Bass Challenge scales and took 1st place honors. The team had multiple 4-pound class fish in their bag and their biggest fish was 4.96 pounds which helped them secure their victory.

After the tournament the team stated: “We were mainly junk fishing, starting on points and then focusing on inside corners close to spawning areas hoping to catch any late pre-spawn fish moving in and to catch any post-spawn fish coming out.”

Daniel and Jordon won our 1st Place prize of $3,000 and 2 commemorative trophies.

Sunday the Bass Challenge paid cash prizes to our top 16 teams. It took 12.65  pounds to finish inside the Bass Challenge money line.
