Our final stop for the 2026 NC Bass Challenge season will be on the Chowan River in Edenton, NC where we will reward our tournament winners with a $10,000 check provided by Collins Boating in Smithfield, NC. We’ll also be rewarding thousands more in prizes including our annual Kolby Jones Memorial awards.
All anglers please read this document closely as it contains important information regarding off-limits, payouts, and launching information.
This tournament is a 2-day event, Saturday and Sunday. The full field is eligible to compete both days of competition. Please review the information on this page for all pre-tournament notes.
Eligibility: All anglers must have competed in 4 NC Bass Challenge events in 2026 to be eligible to compete in this event.

About Kolby Jones: Each year at our Championship event, we pause to honor and remember the life of Kolby Jones, a passionate and dedicated young bass angler who tragically passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at just 20 years old. Read more about Kolby.
Total Money Places: We will reward 1 team for every 8 that are competing in the tournament.
Off Limits Days PLEASE READ: The Chowan River and all tournament waters will be off limits beginning 1 hour after official sunset time which is 9:12pm on Sunday August 2 until 1 hour before official sunrise time on Friday August 7 which is 5:17am. During this time anglers MAY NOT be on the water for any reason. Being on tournament waters during this off-limits period will results in a disqualification.
What are tournament waters?
Any body of water connected to the Albemarle Sound. The Pamlico River and Tar River are eligible to fish during the off-limits period.
Official Practice Day: The official practice day for this event is the Friday before the tournament. During an official practice day, you may not place a bass in your live-well for any reason. Doing so will result in a disqualification. If you catch a fish during an official practice day, you may take a picture of the fish but it must be released in the vicinity of where it was caught.
Launching Information – PLEASE READ: ALL ANGLERS ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE TOURNAMENT RAMP. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE THE RAMP BESIDE THE EDENTON BAY OYSTER BAR. THE OWNER OF THAT RAMP HAS REQUESTED TOURNAMENT ANGLERS NOT USE HIS BOAT RAMP.

Fish Limit: 5 fish – all fish must be 14 inches or greater.

Optional Bonus Cash: $50 (Pays back 1 place for every 12 teams who opt-in)
You may purchase entry fees at the boat ramp on the morning of the tournament.
Our crew will be on-site at 4:45 am to handle angler check-in for the event. All anglers must check in with our staff and receive a boat number slip before our tournament begins. Blast off will begin at safe light. We always blast our anglers off as early as possible to maximize fishing time. We anticipate blasting off for this event at approximately 6:15 am.
Live-well Checks: Live-well checks will be conducted on the water. As you idle under the bridge at Pembroke Creek, have your livewells opened for inspection. Not having your live-well checked will result in a disqualification.
We’re happy to offer our anglers several incentives and contingency prizes this year. Our events are officially sanctioned events for the following contingencies:
PLEASE READ – After you launch your boat into the water, stage in front of the bridge at Pembroke Creek. Ensure your running lights and navigation lights are turned on. You are required to have a life jacket on and a kill switch attached to it. Once your boat number is called, you will need to idle under the bridge with your live wells opened for inspection. After exiting the bridge and the no wake zone, you may get on plane to start your day.
Your boat number can be found on the front page of this website. Boat numbers are based on the order of entry fee payment received with the top 6 boats being our Super 6 points winners. Your boat number for the second day of competition will based on the standings after day 1 of competition. Those boat numbers will be visible on the homepage of this website after day 1 results are finalized.
All anglers are subject to a polygraph test.
During the weigh-in, anglers will be able to view their results and current standings on our Collins Boating Live Leaderboard. We will also be live-streaming the weigh-in on our YouTube channel so family and friends can watch online. Make sure you’re following us on our official Instagram and Facebook accounts as well.
