The Eastern NC Bass Challenge traveled to the Tar/Pamlico Rivers this past weekend for our final regular season tournament of the season. 41 teams competed in this months tournament that was won by Larry Thomas and Gerald Elks. Larry and Gerald previously won our Roanoke River tournament earlier this season making this their second victory of the season! The team weighed in a bag of bass that weighed 14.27lbs.
With 14.27 pounds of bass, Larry Thomas and Gerald Elks took 1st place in this months tournament on the Tar/Pamlico River. The team has been on a hot streak this year finishing inside the money line 3 of the 6 tournaments this season, including 2 victories. The anglers took home $1,260 in cash and $200 in gift certificates to Craven Outdoors Taxidermy
2nd Place honors went to the team of Zeb West and Jay Haggard. Another team that has been very consistent all year long, Zeb and Jay weighed-in a bag of bass that was 13.57lbs. With their solid finish, Zeb and Jay secured 1st place in the 2018 Team Points Championship!
3rd place honors went to Steve Vann and Jason Holland who weighed in 12.03 lbs of bass. 4th place was won by Jeffrey Farmer and Mike Bankes who weighed in 11.93lbs. And the final money spot, 5th place was won by Jeremy Miller with 11.67 lbs.
The biggest bass of the tournament was weighed in by Louie Johnson and Kevin Johnson. The father/son team only weighed in 3 fish in the tournament, however one of them was a beautiful 4.53lb bass that won the team $200 in cash! This is the teams second bass tournament with the Eastern NC Bass Challenge and they’re proving they know how to catch the big ones!
