The Neuse Sport Shop Eastern NC Bass Challenge will kick off our 2025 tournament season on Saturday, March 15 in Edenton, NC on the Chowan River! We’re gauranteeing $3,000 to our 1st place winners!
We’re excited to start our season on the Chowan River. It constantly produces great bags of fish all season long, especially in early spring. This tournament is a 1 day event and will take place on Saturday, March 15.

Fish Limit: 5 fish, All fish must be 14 inches or greater
Tournament Entry Fee: $105 – Purchase Online
Optional Bonus Cash: $50
One-Time Membership Fee: $35 (per angler)
You may purchase entry fees at the boat ramp the morning of the tournament.
This location requires a $5 boat ramp fee. This fee can be paid in cash at the boat ramp on the morning of the event.
Anglers may use other ramps in the area and idle over to our official launch site. If you use another ramp, you are still required to come to the tournament trailer to check in and to have your live well checked by a Bass Challenge associate.
There are NO OFF-LIMITS for this tournament. Anglers are free to be on tournament waters any day of their choosing for this event.
Our crew will be on-site at 5:00 am to handle angler check-in for the event. All anglers must check in with our staff and receive a boat number slip before our tournament begins. Blast off will begin at safe light. We always blast our anglers off as early as possible to maximize fishing time. We anticipate blasting off for this event at approximately 7:10 am.

Onsite Angler Check-in: 5:00 am
Blast Off: Safe Light – Approximately 7:10 am
Weigh-in: 3:15 pm (First Flight)
Early Weigh-in: All anglers may begin weighing in at 1:30 pm if needed.

Total Money Places: We will reward 1 team for every 6 that are competing in the tournament.

There is ample parking at this location. Anglers may use the grassy area as seen in the below image to park.
PLEASE READ – Live well checks will be performed before you launch your boat. After you launch your boat into the water, please idle out of the Pembroke Creek canal and stage in front of the Queen Street bridge. We will call boat numbers from the bridge. Once your boat number is called, you will need to idle under the bridge, out of the no-wake zone, and then you may get on plane to start your day. If you are not exiting Pembroke Creek, you do not need to idle under the bridge.
Your boat number can be found on the front page of this website. Boat numbers are based on the order of entry fee payment received. Every 25 boats will begin a new flight. The first flight is due back in at 3:15 pm and every proceeding flight after that is due back in 10 minutes later.
Every angler who competes with us this weekend will receive 10% off in-store and online purchases at Neuse Sport Shop. You must provide us with your email address and phone number so we can enter you into our database to receive the discount.
All prize winnings will be paid out in checks. Please deposit these checks within 30 days of the tournament. By request, anglers may receive their payouts digitally through PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo. Anglers may also choose to forward their winnings towards an entry fee for future tournaments.
Anglers should expect a Polygraph Test to be given at this event.
During the weigh-in, anglers will be able to view their results and current standings on our Live Leaderboard. We will also be live-streaming the weigh-in on our YouTube channel so family and friends can watch online. Make sure you’re following us on our official Instagram and Facebook accounts as well.
